TESHIE-TSUIBLEOO, ACCRA, GHANA — Manna Mission Hospital (MMH) has announced a collaboration with A Servant’s Heart Mission Team, USA, to provide subsidised fibroid surgery and care for other gynaecological conditions, offering women an opportunity to access specialist assessment and treatment at a reduced cost.
The initiative is designed to support women who require medical attention for uterine fibroids and other gynaecological conditions, helping to improve access to care through the collaboration between the hospital and its international mission partner.
According to the programme announcement, screening and assessment appointments are scheduled to run from 10 August to 30 September 2026, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The planned surgery period is 10–18 October 2026.
The programme will take place at Manna Mission Hospital, Teshie-Tsui Bleoo, Accra.
Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus. Although some women may experience no symptoms, others can experience heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain or pressure, and other complications that may require medical evaluation and treatment.
By offering subsidised surgery and related gynaecological care, Manna Mission Hospital and A Servant’s Heart Mission Team aim to help eligible women explore appropriate treatment options following clinical assessment.
The collaboration also highlights the importance of partnerships in healthcare delivery, particularly where coordinated efforts can help expand access to medical services and specialist care.
